Your PDF files

PDF tools run in your browser using Web Workers and WebAssembly. Your files are not uploaded to PDFZippy servers, and PDFZippy has no file storage.

Files are held in memory only while a tool is open. The PDF Organiser is the exception: documents you add to it are stored in your browser (IndexedDB) until you delete them.

AI study tools

Chat with PDF, AI Summariser, AI Quiz Generator and AI Flashcards ask for your consent first. After you agree, the text extracted from your PDF (not the file) is sent through PDFZippy to Groq to generate the result.

PDFZippy does not store this text. Groq processes it under its own privacy policy.

Data stored in your browser

PDFZippy keeps a few preferences in your browser: your starred and recent tools, your theme, AI consent, saved signatures and dismissed banners. They never leave your device and you can clear them from your browser settings.

Support payments

Supporting PDFZippy is optional and unrelated to PDF processing. Payments are handled by Dodo Payments, which collects your card details and email on its own checkout page. PDFZippy never sees your card.

To keep records, PDFZippy stores the email address, amount, currency and status of each support payment or subscription that Dodo reports to us.

Analytics

PDFZippy uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page views in aggregate. It does not use cookies or collect the contents of your files.
